I've just took my earrings out after them being left in for quite some time and as soon as i did small lumps came up where the piercings are and i can't get the earrings back in now. The lumps are small and very hard and quite sore too. Does anyone know what they are and how long it will take for them to go away again?

Hmmm, you just have to put the earing back through them. They just occur after you took the earings out. They might bleed slightly. When i used to have a stud in my ear it happened.
Although it could be one of them insects that escaped from that government research center. Apparently they escaped in some womans hair. They find a part of open skin(a scratch or similar) crawl inside and lay their eggs. The eggs are pretty hard and when popped, tend to squeal. Once hatched they just crawl off and find another host. But you might not live anywhere near there...

LOL, Thank you for that MrBen5!
MrBen, Do I recall reading that elsewhere? LOL
I used to get this, you are pobably allergic to the nickel in them. Put some gold earrings in and leave for a couple of days, rotating them now and then and they should go back to normal. Only wear decent earings from now on, only wear cheap earrings for a few hours at at a time and make sure you take them out before you go to bed.
may be slightly infected. Buy some tea tree oil and dab one drop on the sore part of your ear morning and evening, it is anti bacterial, and very good at getting rid of infection on the skin.

Thank you all, it's nice to know i'm not the only one! I only ever wear white gold, but it has been about 6 months since i took them out, they're so comfy i forget i'm wearing them.
I'll give the tea tree oil a go as they don't look so clever today, thanks once again.
