following on from curlyfilms question, whats the strangest thing you've lost? Mines a friends sock, she stopped over at my house, accidently left a sock in my room and it never showed up, even when we completely gutted my room to redoecorate!

I lost my engagement ring off my own kitchen window in 1989, it simply vanished into thin air.

i had a list of suspects at the time but no hard evidence. i have often had a dream about what actually happened to it, but every time i had the dream, i remembered having the dream when i awoke, but not what happened to the ring.

aww no way! Bit of a different 'thing' but I lost my lovely cat 4 years a go, he just vanished, we live by a main road so feared the worse but me n my dad scoured the whole street and didnt find him. We think someone mightve stolen him cos he was always sat in our driveway bgeggin to be fussed. I still look out for him n have dreams about him now!

A Moskavitch van that wouldn't even start, it was road legal and disappeared from outside my door during the night, never saw it again!!

I never even reported it to the police, I think it was abducted by aliens, no sane person would want that heap of crap.

that is well weird! We got back off holiday once and the picnic table (big pub-style one) had been stolen out of our back garden...found it on someones drivewya a coulple of roads away, told police n got it back!! Alos, my mums bike got knicked a few weeks a go from outside her friends house who lives about 20 mins walk away then turned up behind the shops over the road from us, my brother brought it back!

My Iron! one day I sat in my back room all day doing last minute course work at the computer, if I wasn't there I was either on the toilet or in the garden for a cigarette. Went for cigarette about 2pm via the utility room and noticed my Iron had gone. Never seen it since. Scary really.

probably a robber on his way to a formal do, realised there was a crease in his short or summat! I've lost some black ribbon, bought it a week ago today and now can't find it, it happened before with some thread as well, will have to go and buy some more now!
