I have been working out at the gym a lot recently. The problem is that the machines need to be reserved, and you can only get them for 30 mins at a time. I find that it takes at least 5-10 minutes to get up to my target heartrate, and my dr has advised me to do at least 30-40 minutes at that rate. Do any of your gyms have the same weird 30 minute policy?

yeah i belong to fitness first and if u get there at peak times (say lunchtimes) then you can only be on there for 20mins, so annoying isnt it?
Not at the Dolphin Centre in Darlington, or at least when I've been. Sucks if they do though. If the gym is getting that much business that they have to impliment such a rule then they should invest in more equipment.
Supply and demand.......
I'm a member of JJB Fitness. They have so many machines in their gyms there are always a few spare at any one time even during peak times. I wouldn't go if I had to reserve equipment or machines. Consider a new membership elsewhere if you can.
