Smoking ban

If you non-smokers don't like the smoke in the pubs then you should either go outside or stay at home. Why ruin it for the one's who do enjoy it. I think the ban is just selfish.

Oh and by the way, I smoked 50 a day up until 18 months ago but I always respected that those around me didn't want my smoke, so I was the one that moved away!!!

So people that dont smoke should not go into pubs or cafes? Why should they have to stay at home. Smokers are in the minority and if they want to smoke so badly when at a pub then its only right they should go outside. Im totally for the ban.

I smoke and am happy about the ban its my dirty habit so i will happily go outside to light up. I dont know how this will work in nightclubs etc maybe a "leppers" room.

You got it on one. If non smokers have a problem with the smoke, do something about it for Christ sake, don�t go into a pub that is filled with smoke and spend all night complaining about it, stay at home and save your breath (and our ears) from the constant, unnecessary whinging

apparently in ireland where its banned, the smokers are making lots of friends, due to the social meetings outside, i never started smoking till i was 29, but before i did. i always used the smoking carraige of the train as it was more friendly and sociable

but also could be said, is, i love cycling and when i cycled through central london daily, i dare not think about the amount of exhaust fumesi filtered through my lungs, my nose used to be black with soot, so why should i of have too, suffer also, because of others?

There are always choices. You chose to cycle through London did you not? You choose to enter a smoky pub did you not? You had a choice. What choice do smokers have now?

Too little too late. Too many peolple have died due to passive smokoing. Killed by smokers disregard for others.
19,000 last year in Europe alone. My wike smokes (outside in her greenhouse/smoking room. She can do as she pleases, but pleases me, by not inflicting the filth into my lungs, or our childrens. My sister is a singer, and is always ill due to passive smoking from the audience.
If you must do it, do it away from those of us that prefer fresh air to the noxious outcast of smoking.
100 years from now, they will not believe we used to smoke.

funny at me yearly mot, the doctor asked if i smoke, yes, and gave me a lecture on the dangers, i said what about the exhaust fumes? surely thats worse, mmmmmmmm yes? he said, but smoking and exhaust fumes are twicw as worse.......lol, i cant win
