i have been prescribed Yasmin (contraceptive pill) just wondering if anyone else has had it or takes it now. or you know anything about it?
also is there a time limit on it? (i.e. you shouldn't be on it for more than 2 years, say?)

I was only on Yasmin for 6 months after changing from Trinordiol. I hated Yasmin because it made me dry and uncomfortable, but again side effects vary from person to person. Yasmin is usually prescribed to women with PCOS and is the second or third prescription. Microgynon 30 seems to be the favoured one.
As for a time limit, doctors recommend having a rest after 10years on the pill. That said, in after 10years of being sexually active, most women are about ready for a family! Doctors also recommend not running more than two packs together consecutively (resulting in a withdrawal bleed after 6 weeks instead of 3). If you're unsure about anything or experiece side-effects you should really ask your nurse.
Hope it works well for you
