why do we wee when we poo?

I very rarely pooh and wee at the same time. It's a bit dangerous to do both at the same time so granny tells me :)

Your Granny must be a martian Trinity, most of us can't help it..! Anyway, not being a doctor, my theory would be the pressure from the full bowel would press on the bladder, making it think it's full whether it is or not, and thus create the need to empty it. I hope I'm proved right as it's just using logic here.

I would guess its because you need to relax the muscles to do number 2 and therefore the general relaxation causes number 1.
