I've been trying to comfort my very disappointed 9 year old son about the fact it's 6 degrees here, drizzling with intermitent sunshine. He was SO convinced that today would be the day he would eventually see snow - I had explained it was unlikely but he was convinced that the promised 6 inches would make it this far South. Poor little guy!
Pippa it is falling gently, but it looks as though it is moving away ooop North where it belongs. It is stunningly beautiful on Mitcham Common and it keeps the naff golfers at home and not messing up the scenery.
Just started here in Darlington.
Right, need to get the snow chains out for my jeep, the low range gearbox selected and my even nobbly-er tyres on.
Best do it quick there must be at least a couple of millimetres on the ground. :)
Seriously though, I hope anyone who might be stuck at home because of it is safe and warm with adequate ITV2 supplies and plenty of virtual toast and honey.
I made it to work :-(
