Im sure your Son will get over this with no ill affect what so ever, especially at such a young age!!
My sister had that when she was a kid and yeah it did for the most part go in a few weeks ( she looked like quasi modo at the time). Like ratter's ex she has the very slightest of differences still but nothing anyone would notice if they didn't know about it. Ask Daisy I think she had it quite recently. I'm sure you're lad will be fine.
My friend had it when she was younger too - about 10 or 11 I think, she was off school for a couple of months but made a full recovery....the only affect now is that she gets a slightly droopy eye when she is really tired, but other than that she is fine.
Good luck & best wishes to you and your son

My friend has bells palsy, and it effected the enitre right side of her face. She couldnt blink or move her mouth on that side. She had an operation that took a nerve from her leg and they laid in down in her face, this was 20 yrs ago mind, she can blink now but her smile isnt as strong on that side.
