i have quite a greasy side parting which i find practical, admittingly with a face like its had a fire beat out of it with a saucepan it wouldn't really matter what my hair was like but i was wondering what hairstyles do you find attractive in the opposite sex in terms of colour length style etc?

I'd worry more about shampoo than i would style firstly bob.
Greasy side part? NO! NO! SHUDDER, NO! I prefer short hair on a guy, clean & fresh smelling is a real turn on for me.
You could go in to a hair dresser or barber and look through their style books or ask what they think would be a good style for you keeping in mind your life style and daily time schedule.
I sure you are exaggerating about the face too Bob.
