my grandad has gone into hospital today to have his hernia removed ! now i have no idea what this is can anyone explain tia sam

Think basically a hernia is when one organ moves to a place in the body that it dosen't belong. Sorry can't be too technical as don't know for sure, but I did have a haitus hernia many, many moons ago, not pleasant!

My mate had this operation nothing to worry about only he walked funny for a few weeks and his balls went black.

Some hernias are done in day surgery and back to work in a couple of days.
