Is there any way you can trace a Christening? When my first daughter was Christened, we were given a card with all the information on ( date, who the godparents were etc). My youngest daughter was christened at the same church but they said they would post the card on. This we never got. This was 30yrs ago and she is getting married in a few months time. It isn't necessary, but it would be nice to have some recognition.

just write to the vicar of the parish church where the christening was held and he (or she) will send you the details, when i was christened my surname was spelt wrongly on the card my Mum was given, but in the register it is correct, i wrote to the vicar in 1993 and he wrote an amendment on my card and confirmed that the register entry was correct, so the register was still at the Church. as long as the register is not full and been sent to the diocesan record office the vicar will confirm the entry for you.
