Why do we cry? What is the need for it?

because we feel sad, unloved or scared, seriously we need to shed tears for a reason, maybe to clean the eyes, plus we always feel better after it.

the same reason why we have saliva, nasal mucus ect, its how our bodies are,

I've done quite a bit of crying this week - it's a good job I've been able to, as it does help to alleviate all the inner turmoil.....

I dunno, but ive spent the last 2 days crying and i duno what id have done if i couldnt have cried as i felt so much better afterwards. though id love to know why/how it makes us feel so much calmer after?
