Can anyone clarify that the GEOGRAPHICAL north pole is actually the Magnetic South, as the north of a compass must be going towards the opposite.

Ive heard many different ones but not completely sure, thanks for the help..

Opposite magnetic poles attract. North is short for north seeking pole, a magnetic pole which is attracted to the Earth's geographically northerly positioned magnetic field which is actually a magnetic south pole.
