I've recently started taking evening primrose oil to see if helps my mood swings & PMT. Problem is, it's given me a dodgy tummy, which after googling, I've discovered can be a side effect.

Can anyone suggest an alternative?

prozac ! obviously youre into the natural way but if you get desperate it does work.I can empathise with you its about time they invented a bloody tablet that gets rid of the dreaded pmt ..Good luck x
agnus castus or chaste tree berry
Starflower (Borage) oil maybe? It has a higher concentration of GLA (gamma linolenic acid - an omega-6 fatty acid) in it than Evening Primrose oil. It is the GLA which provides the therapeutic effect for hormonal probs such as PMT.

However, I should also mention that it shouldn't be used if taking any anticoagulant drugs such as aspirin or warfarin, if pregnant, breast feeding or suffering epilepsy.
