Hi guys, wondered if anyone would be able to advise; i have recently started taking the pill, and suffered some break through bleeding which i was told was normal. Then it stopped...I carried on taking my pill and didnt have the break you are meant to. I have been taking it on time and haven't missed one, but last Thursday i started bleeding like i was having a period. This was the date i would have normally come on my period prior to starting the pill. I am still on now, its not a lot of blood just a little bit..Is this anything to be concerned about? Thanks x

no, i wouldnt be too worried as long as you do stop bleeding, i would suggest if you keep bleed alot longer than you would normally have a period then you should just check its all right with your gp/nurse.

dont worry thoug, your body can take a couple of months to get used to a new pill

Thanks. i have been having sex, on Thursday night it was quite vigourous to say the least so im thinking it could be that also...x
well I hope you're still using other protection as this could mess up any protection the pill has with the break through bleeding

No im not but i will do. I won't have any more until it stops. Thanks
if you're ever having any worries with your pill, always take extra precautions until you know for sure especially if you are a girlyflirt. :-) lol

It also depends on which pill you are taking.. i think you should stop taking it while your having your period or spotting and start a fresh 7 days later.. then you will know if its the pill or not.. but if it continues after 3 months then you really need to see your doctor as that pill might not be good for you.. and alway use extra protection incase.. not everyone is lucky enough to get away with not getting pregnant, even the pill isnt 100%.
Strangley enough i've been having the same problem! I was due to finish my pill last week, but didn't have the break as I was due on at the weekend when I had a wedding to attend. I have however had breakthrough bleeding on and off since friday which I was slightly concerned about, i've also experienced slight stomach cramps aswell.
