I think they left because of particular users, not because the way AB is run.

I think the ones that did leave, are the ones that were here late at night and were quite obviously bored ! It's of no loss to AB, I'm sure.

Well no disrespect dot, but why eliminate your ID just because you are leaving? I have literally thousands of answers on everything from religion to repairing cars which I submitted for the benefit of anyone who wanted to know. If you delete your profile all of that goes as well, and I can't see the point. I don't do alias's and I'm a mod on the other forum, but seriously this place is run like a great big huge joke now and yes, I THINK most of the leavers did so because of the way it's run, not because of friction with other members, the possible exception being wardy.

Certain folks may not be posting as much as previously, but they haven't left altogether. Wardy for example is still posting, well he was up til last Friday. And just supposing a group of people have left? As fun as they were AB will keep ticking over, members come and go, it's the way these things work.

And as for the changes- folks whinged when the AB Asks and other new things were introduced, just seems to me that the powers that be have listened to these whines and changed 'em again.

This is what it's about. People saying that don't have an alias. Willy Nilly....you are green but know who Wardy is. That gives you the power to report an answer at least twice. People get sick of being banned or locked out just because someone and their mates decide to gang up and use all thier user names to get others answers removed.

Hi Nox, the only way to leave AB properly is to email the ed and ask for you id to be deleted. Everyone on these losts still has their posts here and so they can sign in at any time, it is up to them, noone else, and I wouldn't name anyone on such a list knowing that information, it may upset them knowing they were being discussed in their absence.
