Celiacs - Eczema, is there a conecction?

I have submitted a few ather questions about my son who recently was diagnosed with celiacs. I have been very strict with his avoidance of gluten and noticed how his skin has cleared up. However when he was at this dads he had a piece of cake, his dad does not realize how bad of a reaction Josh has to gluten. While he was sick from this, his eczema flared up again. Has anyone else noticed this connection?
