Do you think that the families who have had children to help save their other child, are in the wrong, should we not be working towards stem cell research or will this really bring in the age of hair, eyes, colour babies??
I don't think the answer is completely black and white. Any parent who cares enough about the first child to do this, must be a loving enough parent to share that love with the second child. Many of these parents would quite possibly have had a second child anyway even if the first one was perfectly healthy.Of course it's not an ideal solution but it's the best one many parents have at the moment. You can't say that in that situation we wouldn't all think seriously about doing the same.I am quite sure the scientists will come up with a less drastic solution in the future, but meanwhile parents will do whatever they can to help their sick child. That's what makes them a caring parent.
hmmm good question, boils down to opinion. i cant speak for parents as i am not one, but i would like to think that i would do ANYTHING to protect/ save my child, ANYTHING
i do however disagree with the concept of being able to choose their hair and eye colours etc
