Ive got to come up with ideas for 80s related pressies for a friends birthday. Brat pack DVDs wham bars and sweets legwarmers the spangling antenna things you put on your head (boppers?) MD 20/20 are all ideas being batted about so far,. Can you think of any others?

Toys: Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Jem, Barbie & Skipper (her little sister!), Keepers, Etcha-Sketch, Thundercats, Transformers,

Clothes: Global Hyper Colour T-shirts, Joe Bloggs jeans & tshirts, Baggy t-shirts and ski-pants (elastic went under your foot), Ascot boots (trainers), Reebok trainers which went up to your ankles and you wore them with the tongues sticking right out!

Arrghh!!!! And "Get in Shape Girl"!!!!!!!! It was a casette that you listened to with music and you had a peice of purple ribbon on a stick that you wafted around your head to the music!!

You MUST get a space hopper! That was my favourite 80's toys and I got one for Xmas from my boyfriend (the best present you can buy a 27 yr old!). Try Harpers Bazaar (high street and online shop), not sure if they have one in London but have a look on their website. Thats where my space hopper came from and they have loads of great vintage toys.

For dragon finger toppers, have a look in Asda party section got some last week. Fingers don't fit so easily though, are they meant for children?!

There is a movie! Its rare and only on video as far as I know. I've seen some on Ebay for sale before. I would never part with my copy though - its fab! You should definately get a copy if you can
