number of partners...

why do so many guys have an irrational issue with how many guys a girl has slept with?
i watched a film last night and i guy had a huge issue about his 30-odd year old girlfriend having had 13 guys!
I mean, if you break this down to average years of sexual activity it amounts to under 1 a year!!
ONE a YEAR!!
why is there a blind connection to the number rather than in relation to age?
why does this even matter?
why do guys think they have a right to be bothered by this?
even if the girl has only been with 2 guys in 15 years, you can bet she has had loads and load of sex, in many positions, places, etc etc ... after all, people experiment more with a long term partner, and they are more likely to be a bit kinky or use toys, porn, other couples etc etc when with a long term partner - so why would a bloke would care more about amount of guys than amount of sex...?
she is also more likely to have been emotionally involved with the guys she was with for long term, so surely that should be of more concern to a guy, than a temporary physical activity?
any guys enlighten me ?

what you want for your daughter is not up to you.
roy, i know what the consensus is - it not about agreeing or not - i want to know why its an issue, why it ever became one - all you have said so far is that you wouldn't like it, because you would know the other guys - thats a bit of a lame and controlling reason.
why do guys see women as property and view a woman in this way instead of who she is?
this is 2007, and women are a lot more sexually open now, why still do many men have a problem with it?
i understand your point grumpii - if she behaves badly - t1ts properly out, all over everyone, different bloke every night, i understand a man being put off - but look at the statistics, look at the figures i listed!
a woman of, say 35, had 30 partners - you may think it sounds a lot but assuming she started at 16, that make 20 years - thats just 1 or 2 a year!!!
hardly a skank whorre with a different bloke every night is it?
but you would consider 30 a lot, wouldn't you?

oh come on ray - being gay is not relevant here, i am not suggesting you do something you don't want, just becaise others do it. what a bizarre thing to say...!
being gay is not an attitude.
this matter is just attitude - there is no reason why women shouldn't be able to have as much sex as they like.
the only reason most women don't have sex with loads of men is not because they don't want to - its the fear of men like you labelling them and 'getting a reputation'
believe me, women want sex as much as men and its onloy society that makes it out to be innapropriate.
it is the reason why so many guys can't get laid - the girls afraid of being labelled and treated like crap.
you guys shot yourself in the foot with that one, lol!

I don't agree J. It just works the other way round for women, ie men who've had loads of women are seen as a bit more fanciable - they know their around the sack, which buttons to push etc, whereas the forty year old bloke who's only had sex once is seen as a bit of a wimp, weirdo, effeminate, whatever.
I'm not saying that's women being negative and oppressive to men though - it's just the way it is.
There's probably some deep rooted evolutionary/darwinian reason behind it all.
