Apologies if this is in the wrong section but...

Has anyone ever heard of this website? It is whats called a search engine, you type in some keywords (say, History, Henry the 8th) and it brings up lots of related websites that have all the info you will ever need on that subject!

Sorry, not trying to be sarcastic but I can't believe the number of questions posted on this site that could be answered in seconds if only the poster had used google...

Or Wikipedia...

Sorry for posting this in Body and Soul but it is applicable to virtually every category on this site and B&S seems to be the one most people frequent!

Although not the one whose questions can be easily answered via Google/Wikipedia, I admit.
And where is the fun in that?.

Do you not eat in restaurants?? Well try cooking at home?

Do you drive??? Well try walking???

Do you send emails???? Try writing

Do you masturbate???? Try sex

The list is endless.
is as good as using the search bit, on ab???????
They post on here cause there lazy
Or just fancy a chat :-)
Were you referring to my question CheekyChops?
Question Author
No Trinny, I was definately not referring to any question in particular. I just noticed that lots of the questions I have answered recently, I got the answer from Google or Wikipedia.

Other than those in Body and Soul that usually require an answer that requires experience or opinion, rather than fact.
OK, thanks CheekyChops

For instance:

'Can anyone tell me the name of the song that has these lyrics - Mama, I just killed a man...'

Typing just those words into Google would give you the song, artist and the answer.

Or 'What happened in London in 1666?' Use google, input London 1666' and the first link that comes up tells you the answer!!!

Obviously I have just made these two examples up, but you know what I mean. Does nobody try to find anything out for themselves thesedays, are they all waiting for the answers to be given to them? Why do they beleive what others tell them without checking facts for themselves?
Evenin all. :)

CheekyChops I found Answerbank by using google.....I was looking for a particular song from and advert..... none of the other links on google that I clicked on gave me the answer......found AB and my Q was answered. x

Red bez (sorry I can't find the tilde on my laptop) that is exactly how I found this site myself.

There was a question on my local radio station that most regular answerbankers will recognise...all I will say is... Tasty, tasty, very very tasty!

I typed those words into Google and found Answerbank!

And thank God I did, this site saves my sanity when I am bored stiff at work but still, the questions that are looking for fact rather than opinion or advice can be answered so much quicker elsewhere!
sorry cheekychops...

hello redbez, hope your well x

i must admit i love those lovely people from liverpool, they really are the most friendlist people, had a great time..
Nice one curly.. :)....did you go to the beehive?
had a quiet couple, followed by few more, and then a few more in the irish pub in matthew street......

when doing our "community work" in sefton, there was lots of local papers there, the sort you throw in the bin, so we may be there....lol
I do agree with you cheekychops, although I always google non opinion based questions first and sometimes come up with nowt and then someone gives me a link to whole website dedicated to my question. I dont think I get the wording right sometimes.
