Hi Heather, I know how you feel. Selling up and travelling light is one way of changing your life. Get a credit card, using a safe address, sell your unused baggage and go. Start off say touring the highlands, by car if you drive. See what develops. A part time job behind some Scottish bar, helping out at an agency. Put yourself into the swiftly flowing river of life.
Though be careful, dont live in fear, but just be aware of obvious and not so obvious dangers.
Travel will broaden your mind, and the experience will change your life. You will need a certain amount of financial backup just in case. Years ago I travelled the world in the Merchant Navy in catering. Not ideal, but a safe haven to return to the ship. Life is too short to build regrets, and you sound like you are regretting your present life. Good luck to you.
David for a minute there you sounded like jason bourne.Though i have to admit the sense of adventure in a different country or surroundings is infectious and exciting.
