Hi there,

I'm taking my ten year old brother abroad in August, but i'm having problems finding someone to sign his passport.

I have asked the doctor and they said they no longer do this, even after offering a fee. The same thing happened with the dentist.

He has recently moved school so none of his teachers can do it as they haven't known him for 2 years or more.

I am stuck with who to ask. I know nurses and that sort of PPL can do it, but I don't know any of these type of PPL personally enough for them to sign the passport.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

P.S I HAVE POSTED THIS IN TRAVEL TOO, BUT IT'S TRUE, MORE PPL REPLY ON THIS SUBJECT :-)

I thought a relative could sign it. I don't think anybody like that signed my sons last year( now going to have a look!)
a teacher, someone on council

im not home early ?
It's not your brother the countersignatory needs to have known for 2 or more years, it is the person signing the application form (your Mum?).
Anyone can sign as long as they hold a license. Even the landlord of your local pub can sign.
I am having the same problem! I am 22yrs and have never travelled before so I need my first passport signed! I don't know who too ask! My cousin is a Barrister so he could do it but I don't think it can be a relative. There is a guy at my work who has a law degree and a guy there who is a fully qualified doctor... I could ask either of them but I have only worked at the company 1yr.. so haven't known them long enough!
