I hope you are not asking this question because you have recently had a miscarriage - if you have, I am sorry for you and your partner. I had a miscarriage in between having our 2 children. I was only 2 months pregnant but we were devastated, especially as I had to have fertility drugs for all 3 pregnancies. It took about 5 weeks before my 'normal cycle' kicked in, but I don't know whether that is an average or not. Hope this helps.
Im sorry for both of you!

Thanks coggles its just gone 4 weeks now and still no sign as of yet. I hope you don't mind me asking you but how soon did you become pregnant again? We have so many questions at this stage - thank you for your kind reply.
I am sorry for your loss. I hope that you and your partner can talk about it, not only between yourselves but with other people too. People forget sometimes that it isn't just the woman that has lost the baby, but your husband/partner too. They can also need cuddles and lots of reassurance. I went back on the fertility drugs 6 weeks after and became pregnant again 5 months later. Thankfully all went well that time and we now have 2 children aged 1 & 4. Good luck and don't hesitate if you would like to ask anything else. I'll answer as honestly as I can if I know the answer.
Sounds ridiculous, but it took me about three years! There was talk about fibroids, endometriosis, hysterectomy. Then, suddenly, everything normal again ever since.
When i miscarried last March at three months, the nurses looking after me suggested not to get preggnant for three months. However, the pregnancy book that we bought, by Dr Miriam Stoppard says no need to wait... Conflicting messages but my hubby and i decided to listen to the nurses advice. We are trying again now after waiting 3 months but i think that the three months wait is more to give the emotions time to heal a little, once your periods have returned your body has recovered. Wishing you lots of luck for the future.
so sorry - forgot to say, after my miscarriage, period showed up after about four weeks. All the Best.
