accomodation gets better as you move up the ranks, joining the WO's & Sgt's Mess means that you pay more F&A (food & accomodation charges for the uninitiated) but someone cleans your room (single room mind you), does your laundry, and the Chef's prepare food that would grace any top class restaurant in Paris.

teh standard of accommodation have gone up tho i guess, he lives in a brand new block, single room with ensuite, nice fitted wardrobe n wall unit, very much luxury compared to some of the accom u see splattered about the news!! and he ony pays 54 a months for it! i'll have to tell him to get up the ranks so he can enjoy some french food!!! however, we're moving in together in a couple of months so im sure then he will be paying the cookhouse a visit every nite!!
Ahhh yes!!!!!!!!!!
the "swipe card" good god, I thought they got rid of that?
It was brought in to ensure that recruits/junior soldiers eat breakfast, if they didn't, and fainted on Muster Parade, we could charge them with being absent from a "Queen's Parade" Sect 67 Paragraph 2 of the Army Act, if I remember correctly#
