I have got a lump on the side of my left tonsil. Its been there 3 weeks now and started as a white spot which has now turned into a kind of extra part of my tonsil. Its the size of half a pea, but not a spot, ulcer etc. Its just the same colour as the rest of my tonsil but like a small buldge. It doesnt hurt, but I know its there and just wondered if anyone would know what this is and how it got there and how I can make it go! I look forward to you replys - thnks

When i had tonsilitis last time the doc said there was a white spot there and he gave me penicilin..

Might be worth visiting docs to be sure
could be some sort of tumour.malignant o benign.follow site advice and seek medical advice asap.ok
are your tonsils big with deep cracks in them. Mine are like this and after a spot of tonsilitis I sometimes get calcified lumps in them, maybe its one of these with the skin repaired over them.
As legend says, best get it checked out. Could be a cyst, abscess or similar so better safe than sorry. Referals to ENT surgeons are fairly quick in comparison to other specialities.
Best of luck.
having spent yesterday on a ENT ward, having a diagnostic op for my throat, i saw 2 peope having got similar problems to you, i think they could be abcesses, and may need to be drained off, one of these people had a bad taste in their mouths? dont know if thats the same as you. i think a visit to ya GP would be a good start, as has been said ENT appointments dont take to long now, mine to 6 weeks from being referred to actual op yesterday.
