Feeling very negative at the moment, got made redundant last week, my long term relationship (finally) ended not long ago, and today, my car cost me another load of money. I know I have a lot to be grateful for. But still doesnt stop me from feeling so negative, really trying hard to turn it around, but its becoming a bit overwhelming. So this is a question, and not just me whinging, (sorry) but who else has ever felt like everything is going wrong, and did you manage to turn it around?

My friend had me in kinks the last time I was down. Talking in her kitchen, she was making tea and farting about with a french stick and chocolate spread. She had cut herself a sandwich baguette and put a teeny bit of choc. in the middle, then she cut me a garlic bread oval and dumped half the pot on it! I looked at her - as you would - like she had lost the plot. She said you know life is a sh* t sandwich ... then she bit into hers and said only sometimes there is more bread then others.
Tackle one issue at a time rather than being swamped by everything! Gives you a focus and you feel you are at least doing something.

Sense4all, what a great friend you have....and how right she is. Yes I need to tackle one thing at a time, as I am feeling totally overtaken by everything now. You know when you lay in bed in the morning, and everything rushes in your head at once. I often wish I had a little hoover to suck all those thoughts away. Thankyou for replying xx

Thank you ClarionSt.....Yes, its been a strange week. I have been made redundant once before, but that was years ago. It does dent your confidence, but I knew it was me, as last in, first out.

I have had some fabulous advice from everyone on here today.

My rant is over. Now ready for a new positive future.

Thanks everyone. Meant a lot xx

oh, go on legend, I could do with a laugh :)

Clarion, last in, first out, was the case where I worked, as all the others had worked there 10 years plus, and were like part of the fixtures. Really..........

I will definately let you know when I get my new job. As for getting a new partner. I dont think I will. So have given up on that one.

First round will be on me ;) xx
