carakeel operation update.

carakeels operation went to plan and came through with no problems, that's a first!!

She had major problems with pain during the night when her epidural failed and they couldn't get give her morphine as she is allergic to it, they eventually got the pain back under control at 11.00 this morning but she really went through hell.

All is well now and I will be off to visit her soon!!

Hi Rugelyboy, not so much an illness but years ago she had bone cancer that weakened her bones, then her Son (now deceased) had a brain cancer that paralysed him down one side, whilst assisting him to walk they fell He was 6ft 4" and carakeel was a little 5ft 3" this happened a couple of times, each time damaging her already week knees, so she has now had her 2nd knee replacement, her first being done in February. She waited 17 years for her first knee to be done and 15 years for this knee and was walking on crutches in a lot of pain!! she will still to walk on crutches for a few months but she will be able to leave them at home eventually.
