Yellow Ribbon?

Hi does anyone know of any places you can buy yellow ribbons in support of Madeleine mcann? i have been asked to source some for our local cricket club to wear each game until hopefully she is found, but am not sure if you can buy official ones or simply make some up yourselves?

You can make them yourself, just find a local shop or market that sells knitting wools, buttons, craft stuff etc. you can by the ribbon by the metre at very little cost.

Please, please explain to me how a bunch of cricket players flaunting yellow ribbons whilst they are busy enjoying their jolly good game can possibly help, assist, or in anyway bring to a to a satisfactory conclusion a happy ending to this situation. Please tell me how!

This story has touched a lot of people around the world and a lot of people have children of there own and feel for the parents in this situation (i have a 3 yr old girl myself). If people want to show there support in any way they can then let them! I know it wont bring her back instantly but it shows people care and support the family.................i think they call it raising awareness!

Although your post has now been edited I think that was rather harsh toonmilo, while we all want to see Madeline returnted safely to her family, and keeping her story to the fore, stewey did as a resonable question.

Yes it will show awareness but I think we are all well aware, will this bring her back? If it does then I wont knock it.

I agree totally with stewey. Apart from making your selves feel better in some incomprehendible way, why does wearing a yellow or any other color ribbon, help, in locating either the child or the abductor?

Ok, i take your points about it not bringing her back which i have already stated that it wont bring her back. Maybe i took steweys answer the wrong way in that he totally dismissed the idea of the yellow ribbon.
Hey i'm easy wither way, like i said i was asked to look into obtaining some ribbons to show that we as a club are right behind the raising awareness campaign.

Lets knock this on the head and all just pray for her safe return
