My step son is 21 and engaged but wears a band on his wedding finger.

I would assume a ring on that finger would probably mean he is taken somehow!!

Hmmm, i wear a ring on my right hand and i am definately not married. A lot of my mates wear rings on their right hands. Where i live its just fashion. Its the left hand if he is married...

My other half didn't wear any rings until we were married - when he got his wedding ring (on left hand) he said that he felt unbalanced!?* Sooo.. I got him a ring for his other hand and now he is perfectly happy! - well maybe not, but you know what I mean!

Is he Greek? A Grecian friend I have wears a wedding band on his left hand wedding finger during the engagement period and will change it to the right hand when he gets married, later this year.

He may be..if he is German! I know Germans wear their wedding rings on the right hand. Probably true for some other European countries too.

It doesn't mention Italy, but does say that wearing the ring on the right hand stems from Roman custom..
