Food Poisoning

I had food poisoning over the weekend - does anyone know how long it takes to kick in? I'm trying to uncover the source and was wondering if it could be something I ate Thursday lunchtime although I didn't start being sick until Friday night. Any help with this would be much appreciated - I need to blame someone for the worst weekend ever!

It can take anything from 4 to 36 hours to make you feel off colour Im afraid...what did you eat ? Seafood or chicken are the main culprits..

Are you sure its food poisoning as loads have been ill around Manchester ...There is a stomach bug going round i was sick Fri/Sat/Sun

Pretty sure its food poisoning - not sure I can blame Manchester as I live on the south coast!

Food poisoning can start within 6 hours, cooked preheated rice can be a real problem.

Airborne gastric 'flu type thing affecting much of the country at present - lasts 24-48 hours and it is NASTY when you catch it !
How do you know it was food poisoning ?
