Going on from Shazzabell's question I have also got Red hair and I have been contemplating highlights for some time. However my hair is not that thick and I am worried it will become too damaged. Has anyone else's hair been damaged badly from highlights or are there any good tips for preventing it. Thanks!

Ask them not to use peroxide or bleach in the highlights, i've been getting mine done for years and they never use bleach or peroxide.

Hairdressers have told me that getting your hair highlighted actually swells the hair and makes it thicker if you have thin hair
