Obviously its worth it. A friend off mine did it years ago and she passed straight the way but they dont give you a guaranteed pass like they used to do they? I take it you recommend it though!

sorry, but they are much stricter these days.
my examiner told me that they see too many crap drivers who manage to get by for 40 minutes and get a pass, but turn out to be terrible drivers.
they will fail you for very minor things - i failed once because i was turning right and was not close enough to the white line to let the cars behind me pass for about 30 seconds!!!
and another time, he said he was just aboput to pass me but i didn't look out the back window OFTEN ENOUGH on a manouvre - once more and he would have passed me! i looked about 5 times!! even though it was deserted test centre car park with no pathway in front of the railings for anyone to be on!!
i am afraid it really depends on the examiner - they will fail you for little things these days.

Hello unruliejulie - sorry to make you wait, but boys were on cbeebies website and I couldn't get anywhere near the 'pooter!
I did the course with BSM about 11 years ago now, having read an article about intensive courses years before. They seemed a bit baffled when I asked, and it took them a while to find out how they booked it, but they got there in the end. I had the first session on the Monday, and the instructor said it was an assessment aswell, to decide if he thought I'd be suitable. After that, he picked me up every day for 5 days - same chap, same car, 5/6 hours or so every day. On the Friday, we squeezed in one session in the morning, then my test was at 3pm. That was that!! My chappy said they had a 95% success rate that way, as you don't have to spend half a lesson catching up on the last one before it.
I REALLY recommend it - I was quite nervous, but once I started, I didn't look back! It was all over in a week's holiday from work! It cost around 450 quid, I think, but when you add up all the lessons it might normally take, it's well worth it.
Go on, be a devil!!! I was terrified, but booked it in my lunch break one day in a gung-ho sort of moment, and didn't even know whether I could get the time off. I've never regretted it!!

I passed on my 5th go. I had the same examiner every time and by number 4, I felt like thumping him! On the 5th go he passed me with only 2 minor faults so I gave him a big kiss on the mush instead!!! He just looked at me like I was mad......
Don't give up, you will get there eventually. Good Luck. xx
