When are they supposed to be around? - I just saw one dancing about on the window outside - is it not supposed to be Autumn before they appear? I am really terrified of these things - totally irrational I know - especially as i am not fussed at all about bees and wasps!
What scares you for no logical reason?

They are sly little gits too because when you whack hell out of them with your shoe they lie there , acting like they are dead and just as you look for something to scoop them up with , they scuttle off at warp speed. It's only when you hear that horrible crunch of their shell that you know that you have got the little git. Yuk !!! I love the smell of line dried clothes and one day I put on a top I had had out on the line , just to smell it ............. until I felt something move inside it and it wasn't my boobs. No , it was a dirty big beetle scuttling across my chest eek !!! Oh and earwigs , urgh. In fact , I hate all creepy crawlies .............. but especially beetles.
I hate clowns though. They really give me the heebie jeebies. I think that it's the whole painted face idea - not knowing what sinister thoughts lurk behind that painted fake smile or what deformities lie inside those big shoes. After seeing the film IT , who WOULD like clowns?

I thought DLL's rocked up in Autumn or at the end of the summer - however I'm no David Attenborough.
My big scares:
- Petrified of spiders. Not particularly irrational but what is, is the fact that I lose the plot completely, doesn't matter who is about to witness my demise - everything goes out of the window and in the space of seconds I go from a fully balanced human being so a screaming, hyperventilating mess with panda eyes standing on a chair with a shaking finger pointing at the said spider (not as bad with thin spiders - it's the one with the full bodies etc - I swear they have elbows and knees). Funnily enough bees and wasps don't fuss me either.
- Also petrified of heights and any stairs with gaps in (gives me headrush). Won't walk up them.
- Don't like knuckles. Seeing that skin stretched across the bone makes my stomach turn.

I always think someone is behind me if I'm wearing headphones.
At night I have to sleep on the side of the bed away from the door, with mr nutgone on the door side. If he's out, I have to face the door and won't roll over at all until either: 1. he comes home or 2. the morning.
Sometimes I have to check behind me when I'm sitting at the computer to make sure noone has sneaked up on me!!
I think that makes me paranoid??!!

nutgoneflake - years ago when my husband was working late, I used to put the little ones to bed early, then spend the rest of the night scaring myself to death by constantly looking up the stairs, imagining I'd see a ghost or something equally as scary looking down at me from the landing!!!!
Mind you it was winter & it got dark very early!
