Ok hypothetically if you came home from work and your good lady friend set you up a homemade quiche (along with salad and new potatoes) for tea would you be dissapointed? I have often heard that real men don't eat quiche.

Well Mrs Piggy,
I do not mind Quiche, but my own personal preference would be not too many onions in the filling. Also does it have smokey bacon cubes in it (I don't know if that is Quiche Lorraine???). If it does have smokey bacon cubes then make sure you put loads in.
What goes really nice with the meal you have set out (although you are a better cook than I will ever be) is a nice crisp Waldorf salad. My own recipe
Celery
Red Apple
Grapes
Walnuts
Squeeze of lemon
Raisins
Lashing of decent Mayo.
Also, I would have real butter on the spuds, not this neo-lefty spread malarkey one can buy nowadays, and maybe a little thyme and or rosmary sprinkled on them.

I was once informed by a male friend that if he were to come to mine and I served him a quiche he would be delighted, however if it turned out to be just a savoury flan he would be disgusted and begin a ban the flan movement. I've still never been able to tell if I'm making/eating a quice or a flan so you better watch your back if your unsure yourself!

Three stars *** for everyone, sorry my computer seems to be on a go slow. Great to know that real men do eat quiche.
Hmmm, this hypothetical quiche would contain courgettes, mushrooms, red & green peppers, half an onion, smokey bacon and slices of spicy sausage (not that processed muck, proper butchers spicy sausages), paprika, tiny bit of garlic and salt and pepper. Basically everything that is contained in my hypothetical fridge. Oh and as I don't have a quiche dish here it would be rectangluar and huge.
Wardy, the potatoes would be Jersey new baby potatoes tossed in real butter and chopped chives. Thanks for the Waldorf recipe too.
JL, mince and tatties and steak and chips are great but am running out of things to cook and am trying to vary the foods.
Thanks you all.
