Trying to work this guy out!!!

I met a guy on Friday and we got on really well, chatting for most of the night. We were very flirty and quite touchy feely but didn't actually kiss. He asked for my number and asked if I wanted his, which I did (he's lovely). He text me the next day with a fairly friendly text and said that I could go out with him and his friends again. I then text him to tell him it was nice to meet him and he text back saying the same and to let him know if I wanted to go for a drink some time but I get a feeling it's just as friends because we didn't pull/kiss each other when we met. I'm really confused, does he maybe just want to be friends?

Try to know him a bit better at least eh! he is probably shy?
or just wants to know a bit more about you too overwise you are going to scare the poor sod.

Personally if i was you, i would go on the date with him and see how it goes. If he doesnt like you yet, he may grow to like you. But i think he does like you, otherwise why would he ask you out for a drink?
Its only usually girls who ask guys out just to be friends. When a guy asks a girl out its usually because he likes her company...
