In your opinion what make a woman a beautiful woman? Just to be clear i like to ditinguish sexiness from beauty.

Two things that we all look at (aware of it or not) are the smile and the eyes.....I would have to say that the latter are what I look at first, and after that....a self confidence to carry yourself with dignity and pride give off a certain aura that is attractive.

I think the answer is, it's indefineable. We all are attracted to different women for different reasons. I think my wife is wonderfull in every way, but you may think otherwise! Different cultures and races see beauty in other ways to what we in the western world do. Good question though.

In my (female) opinion I can say without a question of a doubt that although men do favour physical beauty above all other characteristics, you can also do pretty well with men if you are a genuinely very confident, happy and funny woman. Unfortunately none of these qualities are easy to fake, so you just have to accept that you either have it or you don't and if you don't the chances are you never will.

dustybin that's a sad comment. Obviously my one and only doesn't value physical beauty above all else or he wouldn't have chosen me! You are dead right about the happy confident funny but these qualities can and do develop with age and, indeed have different definitions depending upon the age, ethnicity etc of the definer and the definee so to speak. It also depends upon what the beauty is for. I had a colleague at work a while ago who was okay in the flesh but the camera really loved her...her wedding photos were astounding. The definition of beauty also varies from age to age Audrey Hepburn, vs the Reubens ladies for instance. Like robber1 said, I don't think that there's a definitive answer and thank heavens for that !!!

Most attraction is mental. As Frasiers brother Niles once said, "Love is two neuroses that know they are made for each other". A sexy woman is a social convention but a beautiful woman is one who laughs at my jokes and can discuss Freud and giggle.

The absence of facial hair.

Facial hair on women is a turn on to some men. On TV recently it showed a documentary about men who cant find a woman who is hairy enough for them. (Legs, under arms, etc)

If you wanted to be pedantic about it, being beautiful means being symmetrical. Turns out many of us are ever so slightly lopsided while "beautiful" people tend to have more evenly matched features (between their left and right sides).
