what things can cheer you up in an instant?

I am just sitting here and the little boy next door (3ish) has just come out dressed in a red mac and hat, printed all over to look like a firemans uniform, a pair of snorkle glasses and a snorkle , and a pair of flippers on his hands. he is now trying to ride his bike (rather unsucessfully due to flipper-gloves) and appears to be having the time of his life, really lifted my mood.

Jules, kids are so cute in the way their minds work! My friends kids wanted ice cream while their granny was driving them home, she said 'no, you have to have you dinner first', to which the youngest one replied 'granny if you buy us ice cream we wont tell anyone that you are smelly!'. Poor granny could hardly contain the laughter apparently!
I've got an answerphone message yesterday from my nephew saying happy birthday and I love you and its so cute.
My sister rang last night , always cheers me up , and she told me that earlier in the day when she had her 3 yr old grandaughter , my gt niece , she saw her sat with her toy mobile phone having a full conversation with me thanking me for a Polly Pocket gift ......bless .:-)
My instant cheer up was that I was just sitting here thinking about my Mum & Dad (they are on hols in Greece) when a tx came so say they are sitting under an Olive tree on a beach in the sun & going boating later. Bless the wrinklies.
My little girl was so sweet this morning. Just wouldn't stop giving me cuddles. Makes going to work very hard! Then I asked for a kiss before going to work and she replied 'No, Seeyaaaa'. Put me in my place!
What a lovely thread this is
