and i think the reason is that a dead body has no kinetic energy which is the energy of movement which obviously is only present when a body is alive

Having done nursing for 15 years and caring for the dead if i may put it in that context, we uses to think that a dead body is heavier .
In a way it is true but untrue cos the body do not increase in weight at all.
But it is true a dead body "feels" heavier.
