I'm SOOO excited!!!

My darling 21yr old daughter has just told me what she is giving me for my VERY significant birthday in August: a trip to New York to see my brother who I have not seen in 12yrs, and to shop til we drop! What a sweetie! I am so happy and it hasn't even happened yet. What has made you really excited and happy today?

I saw the Manic street preachers about 3 weeks ago and that was the best night of my life!! I couldnt beleive it when i got the tickets!!! They are my favourite band in the whole wide world and i still cant beleive that ive seen them in the flesh!! James Dean Bradfield and Niki Wire are just OMG!! Still cant beleive it!! Your going to NY that is AWESOME can i come with you lol??!!! You will have the time of your life!! Enjoy every second of it!!X

Well pastafreak that is a lovely birthday present!
But this trip will be more exciting because you will be reunited with your brother! I knows that feeling, gone through it when brother went missing for nearly 20 years . the story is too long to explain but when i found him, i was going back home myself after many years away to go back to found my roots again ,I knows that you understand that as well!
We met again, this shock me to this day, we were like little childrens all day holding hand in hand... We retraced the past; revisited the old primary school and sat at my old desk with the ink pot still in and the old house we used to live in.
The old proprieteur did let us see our old house and to our delights everything was left as we left it 38 years ago.
These moments are to cherish forever as we never experience those again. xxx

taliesin, My daughter knows Niki Wire. She met him through a friend who lives in Blackwood. Did you know he's a cleaning freak? He insists on taking a Dyson when they do a gig and actually cleans the stage himself!

Homer-Springfield is abit far from the Big Apple-otherwise I would-lol! And Clarion-congrats on the watch-very swish! I used to live in brooklyn:Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights...the image of the Brooklyn Bridge makes me go all emotional,sniff!
