Help needed please

All my life I have been handling and eating fruits and vegetables, and of late whenever I touch ANY of them my hands become unbearable itchy. I guessing I have become allergic to something in them. The itching stops when I run hot water on my hands. Any idea what might cause this to happen? All your advice, ideas and help welcome.

Has this happened to any one? Anyone heard of anything like this before?
