ok not to sound like a ranting bint but i've just seen the list of fhm's hottest women in the world as voted for by their readers and i just don't think most of the women on it are that great (i'm a straight girl by the way but can tell when women are attractive). none of them were ugly but most were nothing special at all and most looked boring or stupid. charlotte church in the top ten for example? this is just because the voters are shallow morons... right?

anyone involved in a list like this is a shallow moron. but women are the worst people to judge the attractiveness of women to men. Honestly you are. hence the male puzzlement at the popularity of the female stick insect as a model (survey after survey says this is NOT what WE want), our incredulousness at some of the things you wear (PINK? it only l;ooks good on Miss Piggy!) and our lack of an answer when the woman we find attractive above all others declares that she is a minger and will now wear a bag on her head.

See again....two highly dangerous things....sweeping generalisations and Top 100 lists......After the recent Vicar of Dibley shocker I no longer have any faith in this nonsense (not that I had much before)....I am sure all the ladies on this list are very nice and all but personally of all the names mentioned in the only quote I could find about it below I wouldn't be interested in any of them....Perhaps Kylie at a push if she fancied talking about music for a while!...anyways a brief quote on some of the top finishers:

Charlotte Church is not a stick insect ! And neither is Kelly Brook or J-Lo. But this is a bit of harmless nonsense so i don't think anyone should worry too much about it or get upset by it. P.S. What about womens mags that have 100 sexiest men lists or most hung celebs. There must be a lot of shallow women out there too. P.S. Ned, I wasnt saying that charlotte was stick like, I was saying that as a hetero woman TAT was less likely to be able to judge the relative attractiveness of women to a hetero male. ok... incitatus - most women don't think that stick insect models look that great but clothes (especially coutre) do hang better on a woman with no body fat. sad but true. i never wear pink but it can look good on blondes. sometimes. nedflanders - im not upset or anything by it just curious. and on the women's poll note, i almost always think the men on them are waxy and not my type (david beckham for example, he's just not that great looking and he's so stupid with a daft voice) and was wondering/hoping it was the same for guys. my top three? that's tricky as there are so many depending on my mood! but here's a selection: jason lee (my ideal man), spike from buffy (spike not james marsters), jonny knoxville, orlando bloom (just a sex thing as he's dumb), mat from busted (shhhh don't tell anyone), seth green. sorry got a bit carried away, there are so many. in reality i usually fancy shortish, dark haired, pale, scruffy, hairy guys who are really messed up. yey me!

Tat, you are getting worked up over nothing, I can't believe you even think twice about something like this. Haven't you the imagination to see that what men find attractive in women doesn't always tie in with what we think they will or should find attractive. They can't understand some of our choices either- it cuts both ways. Also, do you really think that this FHM list was distributed with the Consensus and that the whole population had a say in it? I think it's more a case of some hassled editors shoving a load of female celebs on a list and hoping people will buy it. Honestly, Tat - there is more to life than worrying about this kind of thing - don't be such a girl!

The biggest problem lists like this make is the generalisation that all men like all these women anyway. I think im the only guy in the Uk who doesnt like atomic kitten. I think they are stinking and would easily see 3 nicer girls in the pub or club. I do not fancy j-lo and dont like the stick insect thing myself. I do prefer thinner women, but thats taking it too far with the anorexia look. Heroin chic is okay for a 1 nighter but not for a relationship. The best girls are french anyway!!!!

Tat- the only reason the clothes hang better on the sticks is because they were designed for the sticks. And they were designed for the sticks because some idiot decided they were the paragon of female pulchritude. Some idiot who probably isnt a hetero male.

incitatus that's not the the whole reason! they hang better because they 'hang' reather than cling to fat. and it only looks better in photos, not in real life. trust me. i've been to fashion shows and all the girls look like flailing insects who need a good feed, but the same girls make the clothes look great in magazines.
