No way. I hear they come in handy if you are to get out of the shower fall asleep on sofa and wake up with towel on floor, man bits on show. If you didn't have your curtains up or drawn then you would be showing everything to a bus load of people all peering in because you live on a relatively busy street in Brighton. Just one scenario I can think of where curtains would have been convenient.

yes - I have an ongoing battle with my mum who hates the ones in my bedroom, but I don't change them just to be stubbon and p!ss her off!!
