my world has just fallen in on me ,my darling mams chemo has not worked and now the dirty fithy cancer is on her spine. They told her half way through that the tumour had shrunk but admitted today they made an error and it hadnt. She is now 5 stone and they are to give her steriods. They will also give her one blast of radiotherapy. For the first time since finding out she has lost her smile, her hope and the will to fight. Its not fair its just not fair.

Oh God, I am deeply sorry for you and your family. I wish there was something we could say to make it better.
When my mum was diagnosed with cancer last year my world fell apart.
We are here if you need to talk x x
BabyJane,
I just receives similar new last night about my mom. She will be having another roind of chemo soon. It is so hard and I read the notes from the others. I have been to see my doctor and she has prescribed a very mild dose of Paxil for me as I am the primary care giver and work full time too. Do what you need to do for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help. My Mom has a lovely friend who visits often and drives her all over for me, so I can work. Keep your head up and cry if you need to. I crawled in bed with my mom last night for a little while and just hugged her. I will keep you in my prayers as you go through this too. \

I can't say anything to make you feel better, Baby Jane. My thoughts are with you & remember there will always be a place here for you to come & cry.

Spend time with your mum..I am sure there will be smiles..cherish your moments, lovey xx
No one deserves what you and your Mum are going through. Like all your friends here I extend my best wishes to you, and wish I could do something to help.
Thinking of you and your mum and wishing you both strength and faith in each other xxxx
I can only echo the sentiments of the others Baby Jane. Your heart must be breaking seeing your precious mum so ill. I lost my mum to cancer as have many others here and all I can say is you don't have to hold back the tears as, no doubt your mum knows how you're feeling. Just hold her hand and talk about the good times. Its the 1st anniversary of my cousins passing tomorrow, cancer took her too. She was 59 my age. Bless you xx
Carakeel. You're an inspiration to us all. xx
Just a bit more love to prop you up.
By all means fight and keep the hope up but also make sure you tell her everything you want her to hear. You never get tired of hearing how much you're loved.
Don't worry about the tears - sometimes it can be too draining to keep the brave face on all the time and it also gives your Mum permission to let the sorrow go, too.

Baby Jane sweetheart , I had to go out to see my elderly stepfather and didn't intend to leave my second response this late love. I do apologise.
You are a wonderful loving person and I feel sure you will find some inner strength you were unware of when visiting your dear mum. You really do not need to put on a brave face , your mum will need support but she will also still give you her motherly protection. You will lean on each other to get through this and both cry and laugh together.
When my big sister got the same news we cried together and hugged each other , never wanting to let go.
I was amazed at her attitude to her cancer and admired her strength .
Look after yourself and take to heart what the lovely abers have posted on here , it has touched me to tears and trust that you can see the solid love that we have for you. xxx

My heat goes out to you just now. You must feel devastated.
It is okay to cry and hug each other. If someone else has a problem with you tears, then it is their problem.
I am going through the same thing just now with my Husband. His cancer has returned for the second time in thre years and is about to go into hospital for an op next month then chemo to follow, for the second time. I am his only carer work full time and it is our 4th wedding anniversay today.
All I can say is, a day at a time and hang in there.
That is the way I get through this trauma too.
baby jane so sorry to hear your sad news dont be afraid to cry in front of your mum it wont matter she needs to be able to cry as well and doing it together will help and comfort the both of you i cant really give you any advice to help you get through this but you will. just try to enjoy the time you spend together the little things will mean a lot to her even if its just sitting in the garden in the sun having a glass of wine together i have been there and i know its not easy but we are all her for you ruthxxx
Nothing I can say to change how you are feeling. Just wanted to let you know you, your mum and the rest of your family are in my thoughts. Take care of yourself. x
