like a complete and utter cretin and have now realised that it falls half in my PMT week and half in my period week. So The first few days I will be in a suicidal pit of despair and for the remainder I will be happy but in pain and bleeding. Is there anything the doctor can prescribe me to put it off for a week or so? Or is it too much that my life should run smoothly?
Hmmm would be easy if you were on The Pill (combined), as it allows you to skip a period for that particular purpose :) Very useful. And it also makes them lighter, and less painful. All in all, a good thing :)
Trouble is I can't have the pill for reasons too boring to mention. I seem to remember and old work colleague being prescribed something to stop it falling on her weddding day.
Cant help much with PMT but this http://www.mooncup.co.uk/menstrual_cup_whatisit.ht m
might help with period days. Im sure your old friend was prescribed the pill - but it might have been given a euphamistic name at the time.
I've seen this question asked many times in problem pages etc and the only advice the dr can give is to go on the pill, and take it continuously over this time. Could you even take a low dosage pill?
A friend takes prescribed anti-inflammatories a few days before the period starts & her pain/bleeding is much better now.See your GP asap so you've time to sort something out. Seems the only way to delay it is by hormonal methods.Relax, your pmt might be lessened in a nice place!
