My best friend is not nourishing her 10 year old. I have previously put this down to ignorance and a desire to spoil the child with treats. Total nourishment one day was a lisce of tinned pineapple & half a walnut, given by me, another day was a small slice of cheese & an egg white that the child chose. The rest of the diet is crisps, crackers, biscuits, muffins, white bread, cake, lollies, chocolate, white chocolate, coke, cordial, tnned spaghetti, potato fritters, chips, sauce, gravy, ice cream &c. The child is sickly, pale, thin, suffering from numerous headaches, including migraines since she was six, and nasea & vomiting. My friend discourages her from trying new food and is becoming more annoyed at anybody else encouraging her to eat anything. I offered her a cold cloth for her head, but the mother quickly stopped me from doing that (I surrepticiously used the cold wrapped brie which she said helped). I have tried talking to my friend to no avail. Any advice on this dilemma?

Do you share the same GP? as this could be a starting place. Agree that this needs to be handled with the greatest care. Other options might be a vicar or priest that this person knows
