It's eerily quiet in here, and just when I have an empty day to mope around on the net!

My soul is just fine but my body is tired after a very busy start to the week! The schools where I live only broke for the "summer" hols yesterday so I am now making the most of not having to rush around all day doing school runs and going to work!

I am off today and finishing packing, i am keeping my fingers crossed that I actually get to the airport on Sunday and the check in delays are not too bad, the temp in turkey has dropped from 42 to a more manageable 32 and so unless there are any major probs i am off for a week's break. Mind you, I was just at this stage a month ago when the dreaded thomas cook decided they had double booked out holiday, so until we take off i am still feeling jumpy!!!

Awww 6 is such a lovely age, especially when they aren't yours! I have no kids, just my dog, and he is more than enough! Why don't I come round and play "leave mummy alone for a while" with your little one?!

Well it's the first day of the summer hols and I work termtime only, so I should be feeling good. But this weather is really getting me down. I'm not in a flooded area so I should count my blessings, but it's so depressing!

The weather is peeing me off, my car needs fixing for the MOT, the kids are driving me mental & to top the lot Aunt Flo is visiting.

Hi, leelapops! How's you?

I have my fourth cold this year and I've got so much to do at work that I don't know where to start (hence why I'm on here!). Oh, and it's weighing day at the gym today so I think I'll have to overdose on water retention tablets and hope for the best... or failing that, cut off my leg.

The weather's supposed to be much better in most places on Saturday again, guys... before it rains agaijn on Sunday! :o) x

sjp, this weather is horrible! I feel as if it'll never be sunny again, and I really do feel for those who were flooded. Pippa, is there no way you can leave your Aunt Flo outside? She might get swept away! Oh I get it, well I see Aunt Flo frequently, in fact she left earlier today, and although I really don't like her, I am glad at least that she comes when she's supposed to.
How slow am I on the uptake?! Feel free to snigger at my cluelessness!
