I've got no idea whether I would go into anaphylactic shock were one to seek me out !
Whilst I don't intend to go out to actively seek a stingy thing, there would be small comfort in finding out in a controlled way.

Monkeyeyes - take comfort from the fact that only about 4 people die per year from anaphylaxis as a result of bee stings. In fact, you are more likely to get killed in a traffic accident while being rushed to hospital!

often the first one you get is barely noticeable, barely a pinprick, and no reaction, but it sets up your body's immune system. This happened to me. I got stung again two days later (there was a nest in the ceiling) and this time my arm swelled up and throbbed like blazes. So try to avoid the little blighters for a while.
