Menstruation and contraceptives.

Which contraceptive gives you the least bleeding/spotting? I use the implant and on the whole that gives me pretty much a period free life. However I gather this isnt the case for some individuals. I have heard of a pill that gives you really light periods within 6 month that ast no longer than 2 day, whats it called? Also do you spot/bleed with the mirena coil? The injection is out of the question as noone wants to turn into a right proper bloater and get a square jaw.

I was on Depo Provera injection for 5 period free years. Went off, had horrible pds. for 3 years and am now back on it and again NO period. (No man/sex either, but that's for another

I stopped an signs of menstruation with the mirena coil. (That was great no more bleeding, no more pmt, but I didn't know which days I was allowed to be really bad tempered). I had it fitted because my bleeding was so heavy and frequent. (fibroids), and I am too old for the pill. It worked wonderfully and I felt I had reclaimed my life. I would still use it but I had a hysterectomy because of fibroids.
I have 2 other friends who think it is great for menstruation control and contraception.

i got put on the mini pill, Noriday a 3 months ago and was told when on that, some womens periods will virtually stop, some will bleed more. Im got the latter and its awful. I'm into my 4th week of it now so i am interested in the answers to this. I was considering implanon but thats the same, can go either way!
It has to be the Mirena coil. It lasts for 5 years and you don't have bleeding for this length of time - yipee!
When it is first fitted there can be some bleeding/spotting for a short while but it soon stops. I have to admit my GP kept urging me to have a coil fitted and I refused for ages as the thought of it made my toenails curl. However when I finally gave in, it was surprisingly painless to fit.
