You can only it on prescription through your doctor if you have a BMI of 40 +. They rarely prescribe it too. Its not plain sailing either, you need to have very little fat in your diet, else you end up farting and crapping all the time. As a result of using this you could end up losig control of your bowels....not really worth it. Baring in mind the diet you use withit has to be pretty strict you might as well just diet and excercise.
Oh and in every country where it has been available over the counter, it has either had its over the counter license revoked or is in the process of having it done.
It's not all doom and gloom, I have seen it used very effectively in patients. It basically forces people to re-educate themselves regarding their fat intake or face unpleasant consequences. The prescribing guidelines have also been vastly relaxed so feel free to enquire about it with your GP.
Goodsoulette is mistaken, you only need a BMI of 30, or a BMI of 27 if you suffer from high cholesterol, coronary heart disease or type 2 diabetes.
